Unfortunately the Dacia car that is used for the Inn of Love feeding programme for the elderly in Dancu, Moldova has been very badly damaged in an accident outside one of our project managers houses. You will see from the photos that it is probably beyond repair. We are devastated by this because it has been a wonderful car for the ministry, but thank God that no one was hurt.
As the car was turning slowly into the gate another car came very fast past the house and crashed into the left side of the Dacia, which then spun and hit the concrete post on the same side of the road that has the power lines. The live power lines then snapped and came to the ground just missing the car. Over 20 house’s have lost their power. The car is a write off and worse still the other driver wasn’t insured which means that the Dacias insurance won’t pay out. That’s how it is in Moldova.
The snow is very thick and deep in Dancu and in Moldova generally at the moment and the team are struggling to get the food to the elderly even resorting to taking food by horse back. If anyone can help us raise the funds to buy a new vehicle we would be very grateful.
