***When we first launched this appeal there was no war.  Since then of course the situation has escalated and the situation on the ground is very different. Due to the current situation in Ukraine our plan to distribute Easter Food bags isn’t going to be able to happen.  So PLAN B.  We are giving project managers across Moldova and Ukraine funds in order to buy special food to celebrate Easter with.  And instead of giving people bags of food, they are going to prepare an Easter Meal and invite as many as your community plus the Ukrainian refugees as they have  food for.

In the circumstances we want as many people to be blessed as possible and particularly we want the Ukrainians to celebrate Easter and take their minds off their dreadful predicament.  Equally we want to bless the Moldovan people who are giving so much to help them.  If you would still like to donate then please do.

Donate £15 to help a family in Ukraine through a crisis this Easter
Your donation would pay for a special food to be served to people who have gone through unimaginable situations and to those who are helping them.

Easter is a time of sharing and celebration, and we want to send our love to as many Ukrainian families as we can, at this grim time for them.

Which families in Ukraine will your donations help?
Many families in Ukraine are homeless. Most of the Ukrainian children we’ve worked with are traumatised. Some have fled from the east to the west of Ukraine, including families with disabled children, who do not receive any financial support from the state.
We often see several generations of a family living in one hotel room. The children are so used to war, they hardly notice the shelling outside. Their parents are constantly acutely aware of what is happening, and live in an unsustainable state of fear. These are the families we want to help. Your gifts will help them.

As Easter draws closer, please consider sponsoring these Easter Meals to bring comfort to people either in Ukraine or to people who are refugees or giving everything to look after them.
