Wood & Stoves

This year we have been able to buy wood for many families in the countries we support.  It is bitterly cold in Eastern Europe during the Winter and harsh punishments if you try to collect wood from the nearby forests.  People are burning anything they can get their hands on which in some circumstances have led to peoples deaths.

This is just one of many stories that we have been sent after wood and in this case a stove has been delivered to people.

A Helping Hand for Maria and Her Family

Life can be incredibly challenging for Maria, a very young mother of four children. With her husband currently serving time in prison for illegally collecting wood from the local forest, the family has faced significant hardships. Their only steady income comes from government social support for the children, making it difficult to make ends meet.

Living from one day to the next, Maria and her children have managed to persevere through their struggles with resilience. The challenges they face are not just financial but also emotional, as they navigate this difficult period without the presence of a father and husband.

A charity called Hope Without Limits who we are great friends with, are committed to supporting Maria and her family during these trying times. They regularly provide them with essential food and clothing, helping to ease their daily burdens. Thanks to  generous support Link to Hope, were able to supply them with a new stove and firewood. This gift has been invaluable in helping them endure the harsh winter months.

Maria and her children are incredibly grateful for the assistance they have received. The support has not only provided them with physical necessities but also restored a sense of hope and community. As they continue to face their challenges, they do so with the knowledge that they are not alone.

Through the compassion and generosity of others, Marias family can look forward to a brighter future, one where they are empowered to overcome obstacles and build a better life.
