Ensuring the continued delivery of hot meals
Our project manager in Dancu, Slavic, told us of a tragic story and made a plea for help.
“Yesterday, my heart was broken when I heard about a tragedy in a nearby village. An elderly woman, struggling to heat her home because she had no firewood, attempted to warm herself with whatever she could find. Unfortunately, the smoke was so toxic that she was found dead the next day. This was a huge shock for us, but at the same time, it strengthened our motivation to continue supporting the elderly who are at high risk.
I am writing to ask for some extra support towards repairing our car, which we use to deliver meals. When we took it to the garage for repairs, they discovered an issue with the engine that will be quite costly to fix. We still need approximately £750 to cover the repairs.
We would greatly appreciate any support you can offer. Thank you once again for your kindness and generosity which is making a great difference in the lives of the poorest people, children, families and the elderly.”
On hearing this story, Link to Hope were able to provide the funds to repair the car so Slavic and his team can continue the amazing work they are doing. For more information
