Flexible Deputy Charity Shop Manager (2 Days Per Week)

Across Link to Hope’s charity shops in Worthing, Ferring, Goring, Rustington and Littlehampton, West Sussex.

2 days per week

  • Every other Saturday (8:45am – 4:45pm)
  • One additional flexible weekday (8:45am – 4:45pm)

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking for a confident, reliable and flexible Relief Charity Shop Manager to work across our five charity shops in Worthing, Ferring, Goring, Rustington and Littlehampton.

This is a unique role for someone who enjoys variety, likes taking responsibility and can quickly build relationships with volunteers and customers. You will provide management cover where needed, helping ensure our shops continue to thrive and maximise income for our charitable work.

Whether you are covering holidays, supporting busy periods or providing additional management support, you will be trusted to take full responsibility for the shop on duty.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Take full charge of the shop during your shift
  • Open and close the shop
  • Lead, motivate and support volunteers
  • Deliver excellent customer service
  • Drive sales and maximise shop income
  • Operate tills and manage cash handling procedures
  • Sort, price and display donated stock
  • Maintain high standards of presentation and housekeeping
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety procedures
  • Protect the security of stock, premises and cash
  • Represent Link to Hope positively within the local community

ABOUT YOU

We are looking for someone who is:

  • Friendly, confident and approachable
  • Able to work independently and take responsibility
  • Flexible and willing to work across different locations
  • Organised and able to manage a busy retail environment
  • Commercially aware with a focus on maximising sales
  • Experienced in retail management or charity retail
  • Able to motivate and support volunteers
  • Supportive of the Christian ethos and values of Link to Hope

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Charity Retail management or supervisory experience
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Access to transport to travel between shop locations
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Right to work in the UK
